FundedNext Review 2026: Challenge Rules

FundedNext offers CFD challenges under its "Stellar" brand, plus futures challenges and occasional experimental "Labs" plans. Its big selling point is speed: it promises rewards within 24 hours, or it adds $1,000 to your payout. This guide covers the rules for each model, how rewards work, and how to track a FundedNext challenge in a journal.

Rules and prices below come from FundedNext's official website and Help Center as of October 13, 2026. FundedNext's own pages occasionally disagree; where they do, we say so. Always confirm on fundednext.com before you buy.

Reward share. It starts at 80% on the Stellar models and can rise to 90% through FundedNext's Scale-Up plan, or 95% with a paid add-on. On the 2-Step, you choose a payout schedule at checkout:

  • 80% with the first reward after 21 days

  • 60% every 3 days

  • 90% on demand

Fee refund. The fee is refunded with your 1st reward on the 2-Step, and with your 3rd reward on the 1-Step and Lite. Instant fees aren't refunded.

Challenge-phase reward. The 1-Step and 2-Step also pay 15% of the challenge profit target. It's paid only once your funded account qualifies for Scale-Up, and it isn't available to US clients.

FundedNext Futures

FundedNext's futures challenges come in three models: Flex, Rapid and Direct. Max loss trails your end-of-day balance on all three.

  • Flex ($50K–$150K):

    • no daily loss limit

    • 40% consistency rule during the challenge only

    • 95% reward share

  • Rapid ($25K–$100K):

    • Pro version: no daily loss limit, with a 40% consistency rule on the funded account

    • Daily version: has a daily loss limit

    • 90% reward share

  • Direct ($50K):

    • funded from day one, with no challenge

    • $1,000 daily loss limit

    • permanent 20% consistency rule

Futures platforms are Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView (through Tradovate), with no platform or data fees. Open positions are closed automatically at 3:10 PM CT.

What about the FundedNext Bolt Challenge?

Bolt was a $50K futures challenge. FundedNext's help center says Bolt stopped being available for new purchases and resets on July 10, 2026, and it no longer appears on the main pricing page. If you already hold a Bolt account, its published rules are:

  • Profit target: $3,000

  • Max loss limit: $2,000, end-of-day trailing

  • Daily loss limit: $1,000, a soft breach

  • Consistency rule: 40% during the challenge. No single day can exceed $1,200; if one does, your target becomes your best day ÷ 0.40.

  • Funded account: no consistency rule, and an 80% reward share

Check your dashboard for the terms that apply to your account.

The 24-Hour Reward Guarantee

FundedNext's wording: "If we don't disburse your reward within 24 hours, FundedNext will add an additional $1,000 on top of your original reward." The only exception is a request submitted with incorrect details. Rewards are paid in USDT, USDC or through RiseWorks.

Key FundedNext Trading Rules

  • News trading: allowed. On funded and Instant accounts, profit made within 5 minutes either side of high-impact news counts at only 40%. The challenge phases are exempt.

  • Overnight and weekend holding: allowed on CFD accounts, with swap charges.

  • EAs: only on accounts under $50K, on MT4 or MT5, and only with a paid add-on. Accounts of $50K and up must trade manually.

  • CFD platforms:

    • MT4 and MT5 are free.

    • cTrader and Match-Trader cost a one-time $25.

    • US clients can only use Match-Trader.

  • Prohibited: latency or arbitrage trading, high-frequency trading, tick scalping, grid trading, hedging across accounts, copy trading from third parties, and "gambling" behaviour such as using 70% or more of your margin. See FundedNext's forbidden list.

How to Track a FundedNext Challenge

  1. Separate accounts for each phase. Log Phase 1, Phase 2 and the funded account as separate accounts in StonkJournal, so you can see how your trading changes once real rewards are at stake. See the multi-account trading journal.

  2. Set rules from the model you bought. The 1-Step has a 3% daily loss and a 6% max loss, which is much tighter than the 2-Step's 5% and 10%. Add those as risk rules, with a buffer.

  3. Tag news trades. On funded accounts, profit near high-impact news only counts at 40%. Tag those trades and you'll know whether news trading is worth it for you.

  4. Watch margin and size. FundedNext treats using 70% or more of your margin as gambling. Logging your position size on every trade makes oversizing visible.

  5. Review your daily P&L spread. For futures models with consistency rules, the calendar heatmap shows when one day is carrying the account.
