The dashboard keeps trades, account context, calendar results, filters, equity curve, and rule compliance in one review surface. The example uses synthetic demo data.
WHAT TO REVIEW
A useful journal should preserve the decision, risk, and execution context around every position—not merely a list of winning and losing symbols.
01 / TRADE RECORD
Record the symbol, direction, size, entry and exit, fees, setup, notes, and supporting screenshots or links. Multiple executions stay attached to the trade instead of becoming disconnected rows.
02 / PROCESS
Attach risk and behavioral rules to the same trade. A profitable trade can still break the plan; a controlled loss can still reflect disciplined execution.
03 / REVIEW
Use the calendar, equity curve, account views, tags, symbols, direction, P&L ranges, and rule-compliance filters to compare similar groups of trades.
WORKFLOW
1
Log the trade and executions after the position closes, or use fast manual entry while details are still clear.
2
Record the setup, thesis, planned stop, target, tags, and notes that explain why the trade existed.
3
Check P&L, risk-rule compliance, calendar context, and similar trades under the same filters.
4
Write one specific process change for the next session instead of collecting vague lessons.
Unlimited manual trade logging, accounts, core statistics, calendar, filters, trade setups, risk rules, share links, and offline-first PWA access.
CSV trade import, AI Coach, AI Chat, and the all-accounts roll-up are included with StonkJournal Pro at $10 per month.
Direct broker synchronization is not currently available. Free users enter trades manually. StonkJournal analyzes your journal; it does not predict markets or tell you what to trade.
Is StonkJournal free for day traders?
Yes. The Free plan includes unlimited manual trade logging and the core review features without a credit card or monthly trade cap.
Can I separate paper, prop-firm, and personal accounts?
Yes. Accounts can remain separate so their trades, rules, and statistics do not bleed together. The all-accounts roll-up is a Pro feature.
Does the journal grade profitable trades as good trades?
No. Outcome and process are different. Rule-compliance review helps identify whether the trade followed the plan even when the result was positive or negative.
Does StonkJournal provide day-trading signals?
No. It records and analyzes your own journal data. It does not predict prices, recommend instruments, or provide investment advice.
Start with unlimited manual trade logging on the Free plan. No credit card and no monthly trade cap.
